Bhai Tara’s legal counsel Advocate Simranjit Singh informed Sikh24 that Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara was in high spirit after pronouncement of punishment to him by the special CBI Court of Additional Session Judge J.S. Sidhu. He added that Bhai Tara is not willing to challenge the CBI Court’s verdict in upper court.

Advocate Simranjit Singh further informed that the CBI was demanding capital punishment for Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara but the judge didn’t agree with them as he argued that Bhai Tara couldn’t be given capital punishment because he is prisoner of war.

It is learnt that Bhai Tara has expressed remorse of 16 others who died in bomb blast along with the former Punjab Chief Minister Beant “Singh”.
