Portrait of Giani Mall Singh, Giani Badal Singh and Master Gurdit Singh installed at Central Sikh Museum

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Portraits of former Jathedar of Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Mall Singh, former SGPC executive member Master Gurdit Singh and former incharge of Uttar Pradesh Sikh Mission Giani Badal Singh were installed in the central Sikh museum of Sri Harmandir Sahib.

Following the recitation of Gurbani Kirtan by Hazoori Raagi Bhai Harnam Singh Sri Nagar Wale and ardas by Giani Mann Singh, the portraits were unveiled by the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh and SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the central Sikh museum was playing a great role in attaching the next generations with their valuable cultural heritage and history. Highly hailing the personality of Giani Mall Singh, he said that Giani Mall Singh was a great intellectual who preached Sikhism not only through religious discourse but also by penning valuable books. He appealed the Sikh masses to must bring their children to the central Sikh museum so that they could get attached to their heritage.

SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal said on this occasion that portraits of those Sikh personalities are installed in the central Sikh museum who laid their lives for preaching Sikhism. He added that Giani Mall Singh, Giani Badal Singh and Master Gurdit Singh were source of inspiration for the upcoming generations of Sikhs to serve their community.
