Canadian PM Justin Trudeau to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib on February 21

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will pay obeisance at the holiest Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib on February 21. He will be accompanied by Sikh Canadian ministers and parliamentarians on this occasion.

Justin Trudeau will arrive in the holy city Sri Amritsar Sahib after traversing through other Indian cities of Agra, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. After paying obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib on February 21, he will meet the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will also attend several other official programs.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee have begun preparations for Justin Trudeau’s visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib.

Interestingly, the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has announced to accompany Justin Trudeau on this eve. Amarinder Singh had in April 2017, refused to meet Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan.  He had alleged that Sajjan, along with four other ministers in the Justin Trudeau government who were Khalistani sympathisers and he would not have any meeting with them.

“These Khalistani sympathisers had prevailed upon the government to prevent my entry into Canada, where I wanted to go to meet my Punjabi brethren and not to campaign for elections,” Captain had said.

  1. What is Amrinder going to do now when Harjit Singh Sajjan will travel with the Canadian Prime Minster – shame on you Indian puppets. Mr Sajjan and others will stay in power at much higher level than you will be and we as Sikhs will support him and other Sikhs in Canadian Parliament and will stay in chardi kala whereas you are already lowest than low in the eyes of your own people who voted you in…….

  2. I don’t think any sensible Sikh who believes in human rights give two hoots to what Amarinder is saying. If defending human rights make one a khalistani then every person in this world who believes in defending human rights is a Khalistani.
