Charanjit Chadha suspended from basic membership of Chief Khalsa Diwan

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—In a meeting held at Gurdwara Sri Kalgidhgar (Sri Amritsar) on February 5, the executive committee of Chief Khalsa

Diwan (CKD) accepted the resignation of former President Charanjit Chadha and passed a resolution to suspend him from basic membership of Chief Khalsa Diwan. Notably, 22 out of total 31 members of the executive committee attended this meeting.

CKD’s Honorary Secretary Narinder Singh Khurana narrated the agenda of this meeting to the present meeting attendees while the Additional Honorary Secretary Jaswinder Singh Advocate presented the resolution to suspend Charanjit Chadha from basic membership of Chief Khalsa Diwan. All the present CKD members gave nod to this resolution amid echoes of Sikh ovation and the resolution was passed unanimously.

Interacting with media, CKD’s Honorary Secretary Narinder Singh Khuarana informed that now the resolution passed by the executive committee will be given approval in CKD’s General House meeting.

It may be recalled here that on the directions of SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, Charanjit Chadha had submitted his resignation before appearing at Takht Sahib.
