:dateline:The Central Bureau of Investigation on February 1 filed chargesheet against rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim and two doctors in CBI’s Special Court for castrating more than 400 male disciples of Sirsa cult. This is the fourth chargesheet filed by the investigating team in this case.
Sikh24 has learnt that the CBI team could not submit all the evidences backing chargesheet on February 1 due to which the Court has given relaxation of submitting all the evidences by February 5. �The CBI Court has deferred next hearing in this case onto February 5.
Meanwhile, the Punjab & Haryana High Court also deferred hearing on this case onto February 8. �On February 1, the High Court bench was apprised by the CBI’s lawyer that the investigating team has filed chargesheet against rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim and two doctors in this case in Panchkula based CBI’s Special Court.
It may be recalled here that a former Sirsa cult disciple Hans Raj Chauhan had moved a petition in Punjab & Haryana High seeking investigation into this case. Hans Raj Chauhan had told the Court that the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim had made him impotent by saying that this was the way to meet God. Petitioner had also presented a list of other 400 Sirsa cult disciples who were also made impotent like him.
