Vicky Gounder Was Shot At From Point Blank Range; Family Accuses Punjab Police for Staging Fake Encounter

:dateline:After consigning the mortal remains of gangster Vicky Gounder to funeral pyre on January 28 at his village Sarawan Bodla, his family members releases a press statement before the media. Vicky’s family has alleged that he was betrayed by the Punjab police.

Interacting with media, Vicky’s maternal uncle Gurbhej Singh Sandhu informed that his nephew Harjinder Singh alias Vicky Gounder had called him over WhatsApp two hours before his ‘encounter’ by the Punjab police and talked to him for about 20 minutes. He added that Vicky Gounder had informed him that he was trying to surrender before the police through one of his old friend and Punjab police cop Bikram Brar. “I had advised him not to trust anyone and surrender through Court but he was overconfident so fell victim to Punjab police’s betrayal,” he added.

Demanding CBI probe into this fake encounter, he said �The police have shown some weapons seized from the spot, which not even a small-time thief would carry. Even the cartridges seized from the spot do not match the weapons. Besides, Vicky and his aides were wearing just T-shirts and were barefoot. The cops have concocted a false story. Even the Rajasthan police informed us that they got the information of the encounter after an hour of the incident.�

It has also come to fore that just before his killing, Prema Lahoria also spoke to his wife through a WhatsApp call for about half an hour and informed that they were about to surrender through Bikram Brar. Bikram has some relatives near Abohar and he had called Prema, Vicky and one of their friends there to meet him. But he brought police force with him and killed them.

Revelation made by Vicky Gounder’s maternal uncle has backed the myths about killing of Vicky Gounder in a fake encounter. Further, it seemed from the dead body of Vicky Gounder that the bullet was fired after placing pistol in his mouth.

Claims of Punjab police about Vicky Gounder’s encounter are appearing torpedoed in current scenario as Punjab masses have depicted distrust in the story cooked by Punjab police.

In an ongoing poll event organized by Sikh activist Papalpreet Singh about genuineness of Punjab police’s claims, 93% voters have expressed belief that Vicky Gounder has been killed in a fake encounter by the Punjab police. This poll organized on Facebook wall of Papalpreet Singh will end in six days.
