Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria Appeals Panth to Unite – “This is the only way we can save the Panth”

NEW DELHI—Today, after a very important court hearing in the case related to attack on Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria spoke with the press and expressed fear of the challenges being posed to the Sikh Panth. He said that the Panth is going through a very dangerous phase. “The times are harsh and we don’t see anyway out right now to save our existence,” he said.

“Looking at these circumstances, the nation has a great need of Panthik unity, with which our existence can be saved,” he added. Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria further appealed the nation and said that the time has come to knock on each others’ doors to awaken our conscious and save the Panth.

Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria was presented in the session court of Judge Sidharth Sharma here in relation to a 2007 pending case related to attack on Sacha Sauda cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Bhai Tarlochan Singh Maneka of the Babbar Khalsa International, who was on bail, also personally appeared on the same issue.

Witnesses are currently being recorded in court, in which police inspector ASP Pankaj Sood and an Airtel official registered their testimony. 

The next hearing for the ongoing case will be on January 22 and 24. Bhai Manpreet Singh Khalsa, Bhai Mohinder Pal Singh, Bhai Sansar Singh, President of Delhi unit of Shiromani Akali Dal (Mann) and many more were there to meet the Sikh activists.
