World Book of Records Confers “Most Visited Place of the World” Award to Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—UK based mammoth organization World Book of Records (WBR) has conferred the award of ‘Most Visited place of the World’ to the holiest Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib. The honour has been conferred on the grounds of a variety of devotees paying obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum irrespective of their caste, color and creed.

WBR’s General Secretary of India chapter, Surbhi Kaul, and President of Punjab chapter, Randeep Singh Kohli, conferred this honour to the SGPC chief secretary Roop Singh and other senior officials at Teja Singh Samundari Hall, on November 24.

Mrs. Surbhi Kaul said on this occasion that the WBR gives this award after every three months and the Darbar Sahib has been conferred this award on the basis of observations made from September onwards. “Lakhs of devotees visit this holy shrine, and the footfall is increasing day by day. That is why the WBR has awarded it,” she added. She further said that so far, eight places, including Shirdi Sai Baba, Vaishno Devi and Mount Abu, have been conferred this award.

Mrs. Surbhi Kaul and S. Randeep Singh Kohli said on this occasion that the motive of their organization of conferring this award was to preach the importance of such Humanitarian places in the whole world so that the people living in the entire world could get inspiration about the values of Humanity.

Skattar Singh, S. harjit Singh Lalu Ghumman, S. Harinderpal Singh, S. Harjinder Singh, Manager S. Sulakhan Singh Bhangali, S. Raghbir Singh Mand, S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal etc. were present on this occasion.
