About Two Dozen Sikh activists booked for thrashing Master Johar Singh

:dateline:On complaint of Master Johar Singh of Gurdwara Chhota Ghallughara, a case has been registered against two dozen activists of Gurdwara Bachao Sangharsh Committee in the Police station of Bhaini Mian Khan for brutally thrashing him.� The thrashers have been booked under sections 295-A, 452, 506, 323 and 149 of Indian Penal Code.

Some of the booked activists have been identified as Gurpartap Singh, Davinder Kaur Khalsa, Sehajdeep Singh, Simmy, Lakhwinder Singh, Jaswant Singh, Sonu Tempu Wala & his wife, Bachan Singh, Baba Sucha Singh, while the identity of others couldn’t be confirmed.

Master Johar Singh, the President of Management Committee of Gurdwara Chhota Ghallughara, was brutally trashed by the activists of Gurdwara Bachao Sangharsh Committee on October 23. Master Johar Singh�s turban came off from his head and his clothes were torn apart during his scuffling by the attackers. He was brutally dragged down the stairs by the assailants as he was thrashed.

Speaking with Sikh24 earlier today, Master Johar Singh accused the Shiromani Akali Dal of orchestrating the attack on him. He added that the Shiromani Akali Dal led SGPC wants to take over control of the Gurdwara Chhota Ghallughara.� “The Shiromani Akali Dal leaders sent its goons under the garb of Gurdwara Bachao Sangharsh Committee to thrash me,” he added.

Meanwhile, one of the key accused named Gurpartap Singh has claimed that his group was attacked by Master Johar Singh’s supporters with sharp edged weapons after which they retaliated.

Meanwhile, it has come to fore that a woman and two others also got injured during attack on Master Johar Singh. One of the victims Gurbachan Singh is seriously injured and he has been admitted at a local hospital. Raids are being conducted by the police to arrest booked assailants and some of them have been already taken into custody by the police. ��
