baajeegar ?a?k bajaaee. sabh khalak tamaase aaee.

When the Bazigar (of this world-play) beats His tambourine, whole creation appears to watch the show. -Bhagat Kabir, Guru Granth Sahib, 655

Message: Have you seen a bazigar, a village-performer conducting a show?

When he beats his small drum, the public gathers to see the show. When the show is over, he folds his play and the public returns to their homes.

So is the play of this world. By the will of the Creator, the whole creation comes to manifest and by His will, it merges back to its primal source.

Enjoy the play but remember the Player. For, the play is transient. Only the Player is eternal.

If you become familiar with the Player and remain imbued with His love with consciousness, you will see Him manifest everywhere in the play.

All the world is a stage,
And all the men and women merely players,
They have their exits and their entrances.
-William Shakespeare, As you Like it

Etymology: From Persian baazeegar (literally, a player), a blend of baazee (game, play) + gar (a suffix, as play-er in English), which refers to a gypsy-like nomadic people in India and Pakistan.
