Environmental Drive For Gurpurb Along With 60 Tons Of Flowers For Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—In an attempt to make the celebrations of 483rd birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji memorable, the SGPC is making special efforts this year as they celebrate the anniversary on October 7.

“Sikh devotees from Mumbai have arranged 60 tons of special flowers from 8 countries to beautify the sanctum sanctorum on the birth anniversary. Special arrangements have been also made for pollution free lighting and fire-cracking this year”, he added.

The SGPC Secretary Dr. Roop Singh shared that the SGPC has begun an awareness campaign this year to create awareness about cleanliness, beautification, traffic and pollution control. He claimed that the awareness campaign will bring positive results this year as the district administration has also promised the control of traffic.

Dr. Roop Singh further shared that preachers were being sent to schools and colleges to create awareness among students, regarding life values and the path enlightened by Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji.

Dr. Roop Singh maintained that the SGPC will also continue the work of making efforts to promote awareness on pollution and cleanliness in the coming future.
