Baba Thakur Singh Portrait Installed in Central Sikh Museum

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The SGPC installed a portrait of former Damdami Taksal Chief, Baba Thakur Singh, in the Central Sikh Museum, within the Sri Harmandar Sahib complex yesterday.

Following the recitation of Gurbani verses, sung by Hazuri Raagi Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, the portrait was unveiled by the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, Giani Jagtar Singh (Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib), SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, current Damdami Taksal Chief Bhai Harnam Singh Dhumma and DSGMC President S. Manjit Singh GK.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said Sikh saints and personalities who have made exemplary contributions for the high spirits of Sikhism have their portraits installed in the museum. He added that such personalities always act as source of inspiration for upcoming generations.

Thanking the SGPC for installing portrait of Baba Thakur Singh, Harnam Singh Dhumma said that Baba Thakur Singh had spent his whole life while promoting and preaching Sikhism.
