Akal Takht To Probe Suspected Inconsistancy In Hand Written Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has constituted a three member sub-committee to probe imperfections found in a hand-written holy scripture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji installed at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.

Sikh24 has learnt that Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has written to the directed the Dharam Parchaar Committee to direct them to form a form sub-committee to investigate the report.

Speaking to Sikh24, Secretary of Dharam Parchar Committee S. Sukhdev Singh Bhoora Kohna shared that Giani Raghbir Singh (Granthi, Sri Harmandir Sahib), SGPC’s Additional Secretary Bijai Singh and Prof. Sukhdev Singh (Religious Examination Wing) have been appointed in the committee. He further informed that Head Preacher S. Jagdev Singh has been assigned the responsibility to act as coordinator of this sub-committee.

“According to orders of the Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh and instructions of SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, the sub-committee will submit its final report within a week to Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat” he added.
