:dateline:In a joint press note shared with Sikh24, the Khalra Mission Organization, Human Rights Insaaf Sangharsh Committee and the Punjab Human Rights Organization have asked the Aam Aadmi Party legislator HS Phoolka to bring resolution seeking investigation into June 1984 holocaust and extra-judicial killings of more than 25,000 Sikhs in Punjab. Notably, HS Phoolka was appointed as leader of opposition by the Aam Aadmi Party.
The leaders of these human rights outfits have said that by paying tribute to the former DGP KP Gill in the Punjab assembly, HS Phoolka had done a blunder. They further said that as a leader of opposition HS Phoolka has neither criticized the army attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib in June 1984 nor he raised voice against Police cops responsible for the extra-judicial killings of Sikhs in fake encounters. �
�There was not a single FIR registered against Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale so how could the Indian government dub him as a terrorist� said Virsa Singh Behla while asking HS Phoolka to rake up this issue in Punjab assembly.
The Khalra Mission Organization has demanded that the letters written by Akali leaders to the then Indian government and the detail of secret meetings of Akali leaders with Indian officials should also be included in the martyrs� gallery to be installed in the basement of Sant Jarnail Singh Memorial.
