Finally, Giani Gurbachan Singh speaks out against butcher KP Gill

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Observing sharp wrath among Sikh community against himself, the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh broke his silence about Ex-DGP KP Gill on May 30. Notably, the former DGP KP Gill had passed away on May 27 following cardiac arrest in a Hospital of New Delhi.

In an unexpected manner, Giani Gurbachan Singh lashed out at those who dub Gill as ‘Messenger of Peace’ by saying that KP Gill was a founder of state terrorism. He added that everyone was aware of the violation of Human rights carried out during the tenure of KP Gill as DGP in Punjab during late 80’s and early 90’s of 20th century.

“If anyone wants to term KP Gill as ‘messenger of peace’ or ‘Super cop’ then they were free to do so but the reality is that he committed human rights violation on mass level not only in Punjab but in Assam too,” said Giani Gurbachan Singh.

Talking in plaintiff to the Sikh sentiments, Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the Sikh community could never forgive butcher DGP KP Gill who was responsible for massacre of a young Sikh generation in Punjab.

Giani Gurbachan Singh along with senior SGPC officials had remained mute after the passing way of KP Gill.  Sikh24 had tried to contact Giani Gurbachan Singh and SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, however failed to get a comment.  It was being speculated within Panthik circles that if Giani Gurbachan Singh did not break silence, he would have faced massive opposition at the upcoming 1984 anniversary programs.

  1. Sikhs are nobody’s slaves – expect for Akal Purakh Waheguru. Anyone else want to be slaves of anyone is welcome to stay that way.

    • You may say so and believe so.
      How ever Facts prove otherwise.
We can’t even get justice for 1984 Genocide and you say we are not Slaves.

      • Harinder people like you have given up and accepted slavery but there are still many honourable sikhs left in this world who will keep on fighting for justice and independence.

      • So Rajinder let us see how you will get justice for victims of 1984 Genocide and extra judicial killings.
It is good to accept reality that we are all slaves of the EMPIRES.

  2. Please remember that the Indian Nation was formed by British Empire by Dismantling different kingdom on Indian Sub continent.

    1) The king of Punjab and his kingdom was gone and in its place a new Nation India and Pakistan were created.
The leaders elected to the new Nations were friendly to the British Empire. This process is called REGIME CHANGE.

    2) Any attempt to get back the old Kingdom or Nation is not looked upon kindly by the new ruler’s of the new Nation nor by the Empire who created them.

    3) To prevent any resurrection of the old Kingdom the Empire has left with the new Nation the twin tool of Constitution and Client Army.

We all will have to get used to EMPIRE and it’s REGIME CHANGE policies.
KPS Gill was the Sikh face of the constitution and the client security force.
At the End of day we are all slaves of the EMPIRE whether we like it or not.

    • If you believe in that then your forefathers should not have approached Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji for requesting their help against the mighty Mughal empire. They should have happily accepted Islam in the name of empire. Accept that whatever your forefathers did (by approaching Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji) was a fundamental mistake.

      • Excellent response Mandeep!

“Harinder” is a joke. He praised and commended the 1984 attack and murders and rapes of innocent human beings throughout 80s-90s. He said on December 10th of 2016 that he was happy Sikhs were slaughtered, tortured, and raped. His talk about empire control has truth to it, but it’s obvious he comes from a gutless, heartless and untrustworthy background and people.

      • I have never said I was happy with the 1980 -90 events .
How can I be happy with our own Genocide and blue stars.
How ever Govt was right in stopping killing gangs operating in Punjab in 1980-90 though blue star and a genocide was an excessive step by Indira and Rajiv.

  3. Equality ? somehow it does not fit in with India…. talk to minorities and people of lower casts a regarded by Hindu Pandits ?
Did not think the Giani would ever speak against this butcher or Sikh but pleased to hear that atleast he has whilst the others remain silent.

    • So you think Pundits in India are not at receiving end
In Kashmir more than a million have been hounded out.
All so called Castes have ruled India so why bother.
Which minority have been troubled in India .
All minorities have grown and flourished in India and have occupied the highest posts .

  4. Just don’t take lightly

    1) Constitution sworn men
    2) Nationalists

They are capable of hurting people of Faith.
In India’s Constitution every men is regarded as equal and the Constitution is opposed to setting up a THEOCRATIC form of governance.
