Mega meeting about State Excesses on Sikligar Sikhs successfully concludes at Indore

INDORE, Madhya Pradesh—A mega meeting of Madhya Pradesh resident Sikligar Sikhs was called at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Indore on May 12 which was attended by renowned Sikh leaders belonging to SGPC, DSGMC and other Sikh organizations. Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib (appointed by Sabat Khalsa 2015) Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala also attended this meeting.

Addressing the meeting, DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK strongly condemned the state excesses on Sikligar Sikhs. He said that if the Madhya Pradesh Police will not stop from committing atrocities on Sikligar Sikh,s then they would be forced to call a mega meeting of Sikh community and stage protest outside the Indian Parliament.

Leader of Samajwadi Party Balwant Singh Ramuwalia emphasized on facilitating technical training to the Sikligar Sikhs so that their life standard could be upgraded.

Former Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Kewal Singh, SGPC member S. Karnail Singh Panjoli, S. Paramjit Singh Rana, SGPC executive member Bhai Ram Singh, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala also addressed the meeting.

Meanwhile, SGPC executive member Bhai Ram Singh made it clear that the rumour of converting religion by Sikligar Sikhs was baseless and no Sikligar Sikh was going to leave Sikhi in pressure of state excesses. He reiterated that the apex Sikh body SGPC was adamant to ensure security of Sikligar Sikhs.
