Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu gets bail in an FIR registered against him in Bhogpur

:dateline:Political Sikh prisoner Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu was granted bail by Punjab & Haryana High Court on May 5 in an FIR registered against him in Police station of Bhogpur (Jalandhar) under sections 120-B, 121-A, 153-A of Indian Penal Code besides the section 25 of Explosives Act and sections 17, 18, 20 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

Speaking to Sikh24, Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur informed that Bhai harminder Singh Mintu was arrested in this case on November 26, 2014 and Police had claimed to have recovered a .32 bore pistol and four rounds from him. He added that the three Jammu resident Sikh youths Harpreet Singh, Sarwan Singh and Paramjit Singh have already been given bail by High Court earlier.

Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur further informed that Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu has been acquitted in two cases and has been given bail by Court in four cases. ����

It may be recalled here that the alleged Khalistan Liberation Force chief Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu was arrested by Punjab Police from the Indira Gandhi International airport on his return from Thailand in November, 2014. At the time of his arrest, Bhai Mintu was accused of being involved in 10 terror-related cases including for the attack on Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and on three Shiv Sena leaders.

Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu had fled from the Maximum Security Jail of Nabha on November 27, 2016 taking advantage of the situation when renowned gangsters were being freed by their companion. But unfortunately within 24 hours of his escape, he was nabbed by the Delhi police from Railway station when he was trying to flee to Goa.
