Message: Smiling through hard times

The verse above enlightens us about the understanding and the way of life that spiritual seekers adopt in their lives.

Modelling after the lives of the Gurus by keeping the mind attuned to the all-pervading presence of the Divine, they learn to deem pain and pleasure as part of life and always have high morale.

They adopt a lifestyle which is without any pretense or show. They neither have any malice nor vengeance or hatred towards anyone. They are pure-hearted. They do not have any ill will towards anyone.

It seems difficult to practice, but the outcome will be favourable and of immense spiritual benefit. This will calm us down and provide a different perspective on our perceived troubles and problems.

Too much grudge and vengeance inside us are detrimental to our sanity and peace of mind.

Etymology: From Sanskrit ?aan (knowledge).
