Speaking with Sikh24, media advisor of Shiromani Akali Dal S, Jangveer Singh informed that the party president Sukhbir Singh Badal has been chosen as party�s legislative head while Pawan Kumar Tinu has been given the responsibility of party�s chief whip. He added that the Shiromani Akali Dal will play constructive role in opposition.
Sukhbir Badal released the following statement, “I thank my party for keeping unshakable confidence in my leadership and electing me Shiromani Akali Dal legislature Party leader in Assembly. I am grateful for their trust and commit myself to lead bravely from the front in all matters and issues concerning Punjab. Punjab is our priority today and has always been so. I gladly share the decision of Shiromani Akali Dal Core Committee taken today which says that we honour the verdict of the people of Punjab in all humility and honesty. We will be playing the role of a constructive and active opposition”.
