The thousand-armed King Sahas-bahu and the wicked, Madhu, Kaitabh, and Mahikhasur (were killed due to their arrogance).
(Due to arrogance, the Lord) seized Harnakhas and tore him apart with His nails. Thus, the arrogant demons without the practice of devotion were slain.

Message: Futility of too much power
Sahasbahu or Sahastra-bahu, a legendary powerful king, was a contemporary ofRam, the king of Ayodhya.
According to legend, Sahasbahu conquered the whole world and ruled for many years.
However, he became very egoistic and cruel and was eventually killed by Parshuram, for killing his father, the rishi Jamdagni.
Likewise, legend has it that Madhu and Kaitabh were two wicked demons, who stole the Vedas from Brahma and hid them at the bottom of the ocean. Vishnu assumed the form of a boar and brought back the Vedas after killing them.
Similarly there is mention of Mahikhasur or Mahishasur, an arrogant tyrant,in Hindu mythology, who was slayed by Chandi or Durga.
Referring to these legends, the Guru advises that arrogance even kills the strongest of men. Instead of being overly proud of our strength and might, why not cherish love for the Divine, practice modesty, and dwell in peace?
