Captain Amarinder Singh seeks ban on pro-Hindutva student body ABVP

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Amid row on Gurmehar Kaur and Ramjas College issue, the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee’s head Captain Amarinder Singh has sought ban on the pro-Hindutva student body ABVP for its rowdy behaviour. It is notable here that Gurmehar Kaur, who is daughter of an ex-Army officer Captain Mandeep Singh killed Kargil war, was given rape threats by the ABVP goons when a war of words broke out on difference of opinion. Further, Gurmehar Kaur had condemned the ABVP for committing violence at Ramjas College of Delhi.

Captain Amarinder Singh has said that the ABVP should be ashamed of its awful immoral behaviour for issuing rape threats to a daughter of an Ex-Army officer who laid down his life while defending his Indian nation.

Captain Amarinder Singh also lashed out at the Delhi police for remaining unsuccessful in controlling the ABVP goons from committing violence inside the Ramjas College premises. He said that the failure of Delhi police in taking strict action against ABVP goons has motivated them to issue rape threats to Gurmehar Kaur.
