Bhai Parwinder Singh Khalsa asked the Sikh Jathebandis to unite to crush candidates of Akali Dal (Badal) in the upcoming elections.
The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee election have been announced to take place on February 26.�
The elections have largely been contested among two parties � the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi (Sarna) in past.� However, this year, Panthak Sewa Dal, Sikh Sadbhawna Dal and Akal Sahai Welfare Society are also contesting the elections.
�February 26 will a major shock to Akali Dal (Badal) when they will forfeit their control over Delhi Gurdwara,� said Principal Parwinder Singh Khalsa.
In 2013, Paramjit Sarna suffered a humiliating defeat from the hands of Akali Dal (Badal) in the DSGMC elections.� Prior to this, Sarna dominated Delhi Sikh politics and managed the Sikh shrines in the national capital for over a decade.
