BATHINDA, Punjab—While campaigning for the Shiromani Akali Dal’s candidate in Balluana assembly constituency on Sunday, SAD President and Deputy Chief minister of Punjab Sukhbir Badal accused Aam Aadmi Party of masterminding sacrilege incidents in Punjab.
Sukhbir said that the sacrilege incidents occurred right after the Aam Aadmi Party leaders started becoming more active in Punjab.
Cornering Arvind Kejriwal’s sympathy for Sikhs on sacrilege issue, Sukhbir Badal said that the Kejriwal led government had demolished the sacred Piao outside Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib and had compared its manifesto with the Holy Scripture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Sukhbir was referring to the AAP manifesto that had picture of Sri Harmandir Sahib on its cover.
Sukhbir also connected Arvind Kejriwal with pro-Khalistan activists in India and abroad. “Kejriwal was eager to disturb hard earned peace of Punjab to get its benefits in elections,” Sukhbir said. He also questioned Kejriwal’s stay at former Khalistani militant’s house and his meeting with RP Singh of the Akhand Kirtani Jatha just few weeks ago.
Hitting the Congress with the same arrow, Sukhbir Badal said that Congress had committed the biggest sacrilege by demolishing the sanctum sanctorum Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib in June 1984. He further said that Congress was also responsible for killing thousands of innocent Sikhs in all over India during the 1984 Sikh genocide.

If AAP or any other party was involved in the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib Ji why did not the ruling party i.e. Badals brought this to light before the Sangat and arrest the culprits. Under whose orders the Punjab Police shoot and kill Sikhs when they protested in Baghrari – what that AAP – Badal you do not fool anyone you know your days are up and apart from your own puppets…..
