Son of Sikh Martyr Interupts Badal Party Speaker Who Then Runs Away

Sukhraj Singh – right

FARIDKOT, Punjab—Bhai Sukhraj Singh, son of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh, on January 8 made the local Akali nominee Suba Badal by questioning his contribution. Notably, Suba Badal has been nominated by ruling Shiromani Akali Dal from Jaito assembly segment but he is facing tough questioning in villages of his constituency.

According to reports, when the Akali nominee Suba Badal was listing the achievements of the Akali government at village Niamiwala, Bhai Sukhraj Singh (son of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh) immediately interrupted him by asking him where he has been during last 10 years. The village Sarpanch however tried to pacify Bhai Sukhraj Singh by saying that Suba Singh will develop their village if he will get into power but Suba Badal immediately left the stage.

It is learnt that the Akali leaders were facing tough questioning in village Niamiwala, Sarawan, Burj Jawahar Singh Wala and Bargari due to which the Congress as well as AAP candidates were trying to woo voters there by promising punishment of the murderers of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan.

It may be recalled here that two innocent Sikh youths Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Gurjit Singh had fallen victim to the unprovoked firing of Punjab police in October 2015 when they were staging peaceful protest against theft of Holy Scripture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from village Burj Jawahar Singh Wala.
