:dateline:In a surprize move on December 10, the Punjab�s famed singer Hans Raj Hans joined ruling saffron political outfit Bhartiya Janta Party in the presence of its chief, Amit Shah.
Quitting the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), Hans Raj Hans had joined the Congress fold in February this year after losing candidature for the Rajya Sabha seat of Jalandhar.
Interacting with media, Hans Raj Hans said that he was influenced by the steps taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the well-being of country. Claiming to have robust relations with PM Modi since 2001, Hans Raj Hans said that Modi asked his party leadership to induct me. He termed the development as �Ghar Vapsi� (a return home), as the SAD and BJP are known to be in collaboration in Punjab.
Elaborating on his experience of being in Congress, Hans said that he was not happy there. He said that he had high and warm regards for Congress� Punjab Chief Captain Amarinder Singh but won�t comment on others. Sikh24 has learnt that the Congress leadership was considering his name for the Jagraon assembly constituency for the 2017 polls ahead.
Notably, Hans Raj Hans had also hailed the step taken by SAD-BJP alliance on SYL-Canal issue, leaving the Congress leadership red faced. Later, he had described this as his personal views.
Meanwhile, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has voiced appreciation of Hans joining the BJP, while the Congress has labelled him as an opportunist.
These people are puppets dance wherever it suits them – true say that dropping from Badals and joining BJP is not much difference both corrupt and against humanity – does it make any difference where he goes – who cares about him?
WHAT A SHAME, Hans raj Hans is a LOSER, he is joining a Hindu nationalist party and he is just going to be a typical puppet politician! His brother lives in Toronto and sells drugs and sings at people’s weddings! Hans raj Hans only god knows what evil plans he has for the people of Punjab!
Why would anybody vote for this Hans Raj who defects from one party to another like a bee going from flower to flower? Still I suppose it is not much of a change of heart if he is going from the Akali BaDal to the BJP as the two are virtually the same.
