ਹਰਣੀ (harṇee)
Meaning: noun: Doe (female deer).

ਹਰਣੀ ਹੋਵਾ ਬਨਿ ਬਸਾ   ਕੰਦ ਮੂਲ ਚੁਣਿ ਖਾਉ॥
harṇee hovaa ban basaa kaňd mool chuṇ khaau.
If I were a deer, I would live in the forest, and (as a deer picks and eats fruits and flowers and is joyous, so do I) partake the fruits (of spiritual wisdom and remain in bliss). – Guru Nanak Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, 157

Message: Grazing deer is known to blissfully and innocently glide from one activity to another while searching for fruits, flowers and water.

Likewise, we can also work on our day to day tasks peacefully while remembering the Divine.

With right guidance, we can learn to focus on the present moment and not be distracted by unnecessary thoughts of the past and future.

Getting rid of our faulty judgments, we can embark upon and sail towards a fruitful life as we embrace love for the Guru’s teachings and wisdom and thus regain our lost innocence.
