Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Raagi Singh delighted Sikh devotees with melodious Kirtan. Dhadi Jatha of Bibi Amandeep Kaur Khalsa shared life tales of Shaheed Bhai Dharam Singh Kashtiwal to the Sikh devotees. A new album named ‘Babbar’ portraying the life tales of Shaheed Bhai Dharam Singh Kashtiwal was also released at the event.
S. Baljit Singh Khalsa (Editor of Magazine ‘Vangaar’) said that the Sikh community owes a lot to the sacrifices made by Sikh martyrs for the cause of Sikh nation. He added that the families of Sikh martyrs shouldn’t think that the martyrs were only their family members instead every Sikh is duty-bound to carry forward the struggle for which they sacrificed themselves.
President of United Akali Dal Bhai Mohkam Singh said that the Badal Punjab government was crossing all limits in committing atrocities on Sikh activists to suppress their voice for Sikh sovereignty. He appealed the Punjab masses to oust the Badals from power for the well-being of Sikh nation.
Dal Khalsa spokesperson S. Kanwarpal Singh Bittu, President of All India Sikh Students Federation S. Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, Bhai Satnam Singh Jhajjian (one of the ‘Panj Piares’ who were suspended by SGPC), S. Ranjit Singh Sanghera etc. also addressed the gathering on this eve.
Family members of all the Sikh martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Sikh Sovereignty were honoured with Siropaos in the program. Bibi Sandeep Kaur, who is Chairperson of Bhai Dharam Singh Khalsa Trust, thanked the Sikh leaders, activists and families of martyrs for attending the martyrdom anniversary.
