OTTAWA, Canada—The WSO (World Sikh Organization) released a statement condemning the vandalism of three Jewish centres in Ottawa. The buildings had been sprayed with Swastikas and hate messages via graffiti.
WSO President Mukhbir Singh said today, “We stand in solidarity with our Jewish friends and condemn the rash of anti-Semitic attacks in Ottawa. Religious centres and places of worship should be places of safety and togetherness – such attacks are therefore all the more egregious.
“There is no place for hatred and intimidation in Canada and we are confident that law enforcement will work quickly to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
This incident follow reports of leaflets being distributed in downtown Toronto, attempting to spread inflammatory racist rhetoric. Some officials believe these incidents will have been triggered in relation to the Trump victory in the USA last week.
