FIROZEPUR, Punjab—Interim jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand has been taken into police custody under preventive measures.
Bhai Mand was arrested by the Firozepur police this morning and taken to the police station for further investigations.
Homes of several Sikh leaders were also raided yesterday. These includes Sikh activists from the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar and United Akali Dal. Namely, houses of S. Paramjit Singh Jejani and Gursharan Singh Sohal were raided yesterday.
It is important to mention that the Sarbat Khalsa 2016 event received a big boost as the 3 appointed Jathedars from last year held a meeting with suspended Akal Takht Sahib Punj Piare to unite over Sarbat Khalsa’s organization.

You are correct. Our community for almost a century has been devoid of any religious as well as political leaders who has any foresight to lead the community. Unless we Sikhs put sikhi first nothing can be resolved.
Well said paaji. This Brahmin agenda has been in planning since 1947. Please spend your time educating your brothers and sisters rather than arguing with them. Money spent on printing small positive articles, that convey the truth about the greatness of Sikhism and its followers. Sikhs have been freedom fighters for India, now they must fight for their own freedom. Spread the word of economic policies of the Brahmin government which keep minorities as second class citizens; as well as the stealing of Punjab river waters. The Khalsa is always in victory mode, there is no other way to be a Khalsa. Backing away from an oppressor is just not possible for a Sikh.
