CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Partap Singh Bajwa said that BJP rebel Navjot Sidhu may join the Congress fold on Diwali i.e. October 30. Notably, Partap Singh Bajwa has been active to induct Navjot Sidhu into Congress since he had resigned from the membership of Rajya Sabha.

Bajwa maintained that the comeback of Congress was imminent in Punjab after upcoming assembly polls but the entry of renowned personalities like Navjot Sidhu will bonus up the Congress’ goodwill across the state.

Dubbing the AAP leadership as a bunch of liars, Bajwa said that the AAP’s national convener was now searching for a backdoor from Punjab. He claimed that Congress graph has shown dramatic inclination while AAP’s graph in Punjab has fallen like waters of a dam.  He further said that the AAP was not having a Sikh face to be projected as a Chief Minister for election campaign which was mandatory to woo Sikh votes in Punjab.

Lashing out at ruling Shiromani Akali Dal’s leader, Bajwa said that Sukhbir Badal, Bikram Majithia, Tota Singh and Adesh Partap Kairon will be put behind bars after Congress’s success in 2017 as they have looted the state.
