FAZILKA, Punjab—While it’s been almost a year since Sarbat Khalsa 2015 took place, tragic incident of Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s sacrilege are nowhere controlled in Punjab. Sarbat Khalsa took place primarily to put a control over such desecration incidents, however, these incidents have continued to take place for several reasons.
On October 15, another such incident came to the fore where angs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib’s scripture were torn near Fazilka. The incident took place by miscreant in village Hasat Klan situated in the border constituency of Fazilka. Gurdwara’s Granthi was not at the Gurdwara when the incident took place.
The culprit Manohar Singh (son of Sham Singh) of village Hasat Klan who committed the sacrilege entered the Gurdwara Sahib in the evening hours of October 15 by breaking lock and vandalized the saroop of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
“I was informed of the sacrilege of Holy Scripture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib by a villager. I had gone to purchase milk on October 15 after performing Path of Rehras Sahib,” said the Granthi Makhan Singh. Granthi Makhan Singh has been doing seva at this Gurdwara for over 20 years now.
The culprit Manohar is being said to be mentally unstable. Granthi Makhan Singh told Sikh24 that when the culprit came to the Gurdwara at night time, his mother and sister rushed after him. “However, Manohar was able to break in and cause sacrilege to the saroop before he could be nabbed by his family members. In the meantime, the family and villagers found out and they informed the police and myself at once,” said Granthi Makhan Singh.
Exactly one year ago on this date, another beadbi incident had taken place in Fazilka. Situation remained tense as Sikh sangat blocked the Firozepur-Fazilka Road for days.
These are forces who do not have a religion, and they are attacking every other religion. They came from outside, started living in Sind, & devided the people of Bharat in different classes, & ruled or remain with rulers & did nothing for Bharat. They not even let the hindus get the true knowledge of One God & fooling them to worship stones.
They want Punjab to go through another cycle of violence as in 1980-90.
Just beware of the forces trying to set Punjab on fire.
