AMRITSAR SAHIB—Breaking silence over the murder of Ms. Balwinder Masih, the District Police of Amritsar (Rural) have claimed to unearth the mystery behind her murder. Balwinder Masih was held guilty of committing sacrilege last year in November 2015. She was murdered on September 9 with sharp-edged weapons.
Prima facie reports had revealed that three unidentified assailants firstly knocked her door around 12 o’clock of September 8 night. On opening the door, the assailants took away Balwinder Masih out of the house and murdered her with sharp-edged weapons.
Interacting with media on September 12, SSP Amritsar (Rural) HPS Khakh informed that on being grilled by the Special Investigation Team, Balwinder Masih’s husband Labh Masih confessed that he had murdered his wife with a sharp-edged weapons.
SSP informed that Labh was upset over the desecration committed by his wife Balwinder Masih.
“On the intervening night of September 8 and 9, the couple quarreled on something and Labh murdered her with sickle,” SSP added. He further informed that Labh had consumed alcohol that night and in influence of alcohol, he committed this crime.
SSP said that Labh had concocted the story of murder by unidentified assailants by convincing his granddaughter to state same before the Police.
This is the second case in which a desecration culprit was found murder. During another case, also involving a woman named Balwinder, two Sikh youth namely Bhai Gurpreet Singh and Bhai Nihal Singh had confessed their role in the murder and surrendered on August 3.
If the other woman is killed by sikh youth, I respect their sentiments, but if not then maybe her son who killed his father, killed mother for money from the master mind behind the desecration.
