:dateline:Talking with Sikh24 on October 1, the President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), S. Simranjit Singh Mann, demanded that the victim families of border belt villages should be given financial compensation by the Union government. He said that financial 
compensation of Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 100, 000 should be given to ordinary and farmer families of border belt villages respectively.
Commenting on the tensions between Indo-Pak relations, Simranjit Singh Mann said that the Sikhs were going to suffer in the war between a Hindu and an Islamic state. He said that the surgical strikes of both India and Pakistan couldn�t be proved right as the duo were carried out on sleeping people. He informed us that a seminar will be held against war situation between India and Pakistan in Chandigarh on October 8.
