After paying obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Modi will also address the gathering to mark ‘50th Punjab Day’ on November 1 in Sri Amritsar Sahib.

The program to mark ‘50th Punjab Day’ will be held in Kotwali Chowk of Amritsar Sahib.  Along with Prime Minister Modi, Punjab Chief Minister will be the chief guest.

Punjab Day is being organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Punjabi Suba morcha.  It’s approval was earlier granted by the Punjab Cabinet in May.  Along with the grand program in Sri Amritsar, similar functions will be held across Punjab.  These programs will highlight the struggle launched by the Punjabis for the creation of Punjab.
