AAP convener Gurpreet Ghuggi faces confrontation in United States

:dateline:Newly appointed AAP�s state convener Gurpreet Ghuggi was confronted by the activists�of Sikhs for Justice in�Tracy, California, on September 14. �Gurpreet Ghuggi is on tour of California. �He was recently appointed as state convener of AAP in Punjab after sacking of former convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur under corruption charges.

The activists of �Sikhs for Justice� alleged that Gurpreet Ghuggi was a part of team of artists�assembled by notorious former DGP of Punjab KP Gill to divert attention of Punjab masses from the police excesses. Notably in 1990�s, the Punjab police had committed immense torture on Sikhs under the leadership of KP Gill. Thousands of innocent youths were extra-judicially abducted and murdered by the Punjab police in 1990�s.

Legal Advisor of �Sikhs for Justice� Gurpatwant Pannu said that Gurpreet Ghuggi has disrespected the institution of �Panj Pyares� and Guru Gobind Singh Ji to defend expatriates of AAP in Punjab. It is notable here that Gurpreet Ghuggi had said that the �Panj Pyares� and Guru Gobind Singh Ji had also come from outside.

Meanwhile, AAP convener Gurpreet Ghuggi has said that a handful of miscreants were spreading misinformation about him in Sikh diaspora. He has claimed that the US Punjabis were warmly welcoming him. �He clarified that he had already sought apology for a comment made years ago. �Meanwhile in Fresno, he received a warm welcome from the community there.
