Bhagwant Mann seeks apology for misbehaving from media

Many Stranded in Iraq Return Home With Efforts of AAP MP Bhagwant MannBALACHAUR, Punjab—AAP’s Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann has said sought an apology from media for misbehaving during a rally at Bassi Pathana. Addressing a rally in memory of Retd. Brigadier Raj Kumar at Balachaur, Bhagwant Mann said that he had always respected media but the incident of Bassi Pathana occurred inadvertently.

“My remarks were not aimed at all sections of media, rather just some individuals,” Bhagwant Mann said yesterday.

“Personal remarks used against me.  This really irritated me during the rally,” he added.  

Following the incident at Bassi Pathana, the District police indicted Bhagwant Mann for misbehaving with journalists and using objectionable language against them.

During the rally, Bhagwant Mann had lost patience after a question was put forward by a journalist about the sex video of AAP’s Cabinet Minister Sandeep Singh in Delhi. Bhagwant Mann had allegedly incited the AAP activists to push Journalists out of the rally following which the journalists were manhandled.

Confirming the development the Senior Superintendent of Police Harcharan Singh Bhullar informed that an FIR has been registered against Bhagwant Singh under sections 109, 153, 323, 341, 352, 355, 356, 427, 500, 504 and 140 of Indian Penal Code. He added that the Parliament Speaker has been also apprised with registration FIR against Parliamentarian Bhagwant Mann.
