German Sikhs observe 21st martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar

COLOGNE, Germany—21st martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar was observed at Gurdwara Sri Dashmesh Singh Sabha, Cologne with the support of Babbar Khalsa International (Germany) and other Panthik bodies on September 4.  The event attracted Sikhs from all over Germany, and parts of Europe to arrive here in large numbers.

Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, German Sikh youth performed kirtan sewa.  Shabads relating to bir-rus (warrior spirit) were sung by the youth in memory of Bhai Dilawar Singh.

Kavishar Bhai Jagjit Singh JK and Bhai Jasbir Singh Tejasvi addressed the bravery tales of Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh to the present Sikh devotees.

Addressing the Sikh devotees on this occasion, the Sikh leaders shared exemplary life story from Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar’s life. The leaders also talked about the sacrifices made by Jathedar Sukhdev Singh Babbar, Bhai Anokh Singh Babbar, Bhai Gurjant Singh Rajasthani, Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana and Bhai Charanjit Singh Channi. President of Gurdwara Sri Dashmesh Singh Sabha, Cologne, acted as stage secretary on this occasion.

Bhai Hardavinder Singh (Chief of Babbar Khalsa International Germany), Bhai Gurmeet Singh Khanian of Sikh Federation, Bhai Jaskaran Singh, Bhai Gurdeep Singh Pardesi, Bhai Jagmohan Singh Mand, Bhai Basant Singh Panjhatha (France), Bhai Sohan Singh Kang, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Guraya, Bhai Resham Singh Babbar
(Chief of Babbar Khalsa Germany) and others were the prominent leaders among present gathering.
