kaa?yaa? laaha? aap mad a?mrit tis kee dhaar.
If the human body is made the vessel and self-realization the liquor, then a stream of ambrosial nectar is produced. – Guru Nanak Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, 553

Message:In Guru Nanaks view, without divine realisation, the human body is the vessel filled with spirits of conceit and worldly craving. By drinking more of these spirits we take on countless vices. We are so intoxicated by these, little do we realize the path of falsehood we are on.

Is there a way to escape from this vicious intoxication? Yes. Instead of drinking liquor distilled from molasses, get drunk with the nectar of spiritual wisdom. There is an endless supply available to us. Surround yourself with drinking buddies who are already intoxicated by it through devotion to the Divine. By drinking from this cup of divine love, an awareness of ones actions sets in, and ones corruptions and wrong doings are slowly wiped away.

The realized self will soon come to know the source of truthful living, the true nourishment of the mind, the Truth.

Etymology:From Sanskritmad(intoxication, spirituous liquor; Rigveda, wantonness, pride) ? Palimad(intoxication, sexual excess) ? Prakritmay(intoxication, pride) andmai(wine, spirits).
