:dateline:First death anniversary of Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was observed by the Sikh sangat on August 17 at Gurdwara Manji Sahib situated within Sri Darbar Sahib of Tarn Taran. It is notable here that Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was son-in-law of 83 years old Sikh activist Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa. �Bhai Bhola was was stabbed to death on August 17, 2015, by unidentified assailants in Peoria (near Chicago, USA) under mysterious circumstances. � �
Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Ragi Bhai Harjit Singh delighted the Sikh devotees with melodious kirtan.
Several prominent Sikh leaders and youth activist were present at the program to pay respects to Bhai Bhola. �Bhai Bhola was a prominent member of the Sikh Students Federation and was seen as a deep and intellectual thinking. �He was also the backbone of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s protest and was eminent in getting support from major factions on the Panth. �At the time when Panth was upset after the failure of Lakhnaur Sahib morcha, he played an important role in reigniting unity and support of various jathebandis across Punjab.
In a press note shared with Sikh24, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar president S. Simranjit Singh Mann stated that�S. Satwinder Singh Bhola’s loss will never be fulfilled. �He raised speculation over the timing behind the murder and questioned involvement of Indian secret agents. �”We want the FBI to work on this lead to bring the culprits to justice. We stand by S. Bhola’s wife and father in law in this hour of crisis,” he added.
Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola had played a significant role in re-erecting the Sikh movement after 1984 episode. Besides leading the All India Sikh Students Federation on front end, sources say he was leading the Dashmesh Regiment under name of �Sardool Singh�. �His name falls into the most wanted list of Sikh militants issued by Indian government. �
