Message: What do we need to live our lives? We are worldly beings with a worldly nature, and we require worldly things. We need these for our householder lives to fulfil various obligations. However, these material things are not enough to live our lives to the fullest. We need honour and dignity; we need strength and power. We also need health, wealth and well-being of our families.

To work towards all these, we require divine wisdom and divine love. When we infuse ourselves with the love of the Divine, His wisdom guides us towards a decent and honest living. Values will govern our decisions. Walking on this path, we will obtain all that is needed for a fulfilling life.

Seek only from your Creator. Earn through your sweat and you will obtain everything – family, fame, health, wealth and success.

Etymology: From Sanskrit maan (wish, pride, honour) → Pali maan → Prakrit maaṇ → Awadhi/Old Marwari/Bengali/Kashmiri maan, Sindhi maaṇu/maaṇo, Lahndi/Punjabi maaṇ (honour, self-respect, pride).
