Three Punjab Parliamentarians Ask Speaker to Send Bhagwant Mann for Rehabilitation

MP Bhagwant Mann Raises Issue of Punjab’s Brutalities in Indian Parliament:dateline:Accusing Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party’s�Member of Parliament (MP) from Sangrur of being addicted to alcohol, three MPs from Punjab have requested the Speaker of Parliament Sumitra Mahajan to send him�to rehabilitation centre on public expense.

Namely,�Prem S. Chandumajra, Harinder Singh Khalsa and Mahesh Giri have alleged that Bhagwant Mann was denigrating a seat of Parliament by his actions.

Earlier,�MP Harinder Singh Khalsa from Sri Fatehgarh Sahib had pleaded the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to change his seat. He had alleged that it smells torturous to sit next to Bhagwant Mann as he remains drunk most of time. �Khalsa was expelled from the Aam Aadmi Party on his alleged anti-party statements.

The plea by three MPs comes at a time when AAP has been grappling with multiple cases filed against more than a dozen of its legislators ranging from criminal intimidation and molestation to rioting and faking educational qualifications.

On being contacted by Sikh24, MP Bhagwant Mann refuted the allegations levelled by the trio MPs for terming him alcoholic. Daring the trio MPs for dope test, Bhagwant Mann said that they should come together for test and he will be leading them in giving blood samples.

Bhagwant Mann has been at the center of controversy. �Several MPs had earlier sought his expulsion from the Parliament as Mann had posted a video of Parliament’s security arrangements online. �He has continued to face a wrath of his opponents even after apologizing for his act publicly. �Bhagwant Mann is one of the four AAP MPs from Punjab. �He has continued to voice his dissent against the Punjab Government’s policies in the Parliament. �This has caused him to receive much opposition from other MPs.
