SYF Bhindranwale: Punjab Government Crossed All Limits In Crushing Democratic Rights Of Sikh Activists

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—In a press note shared with Sikh24 on July 20, the Vice President of the Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala, Bhai Ranjit Singh said that the Akali Dal led Punjab government crossed all limits in crushing the democratic rights of the Sikh activists. Strongly condemning the Badal government for arresting more than 200 Sikh activists to prevent them from taking part in a protest to march from Bhagta Bhai Ka, the Vice President said that Badal was defending the culprits responsible for the Punjab wide desecration of the Holy Sikh scriptures.

Slamming the Badal government for turning a blind eye towards Sikh issues, Bhai Ranjit Singh (Damdami Taksal) said that by conducting raids on the houses of Sikh activists and by putting the Takht Jathedars under house arrest, Badal proved that his so called Akali Dal was indirectly a part of the anti-Sikh elements. He said that the march was neither illegal nor was it going to disturb the communal harmony of the state.

Comparing the Badal government with the Mughal emperors Ahmed Shah Abdali and Zakria Khan, Bhai Ranjit Singh said that the Badal government should not forget that the Sikhs will never tolerate sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Sikhs will shed their blood for it.
