:dateline:Sarbat Khalsa 2015 appointed interim�Jathedars, including Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, Bhai�Baljit Singh Daduwal and Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala today, May 15, paid obeisance�at Sri Harmandir Sahib. �The trio were earlier scheduled to pay obeisance here on May 10, however, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand’s arrest on May 8 delayed the visit.
Strict security measures were taken by the SGPC as well as the Amritsar District Administration in order to control any untoward incident but the trio Jathedars paid obeisance without any trouble. �A large number of police remained deployed outside Sri Darbar Sahib and other parts of the city.
Bhai Mohkam Singh (President of United Akali Dal), Bhai Satnam Singh Manawa (United Akali Dal), Prof. Harbir Singh, Bhai Jarnail Singh Sakhira (District President of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar) and others�were accompanying the Jathedars on this occasion.
On May 6, Bhai Mand had told Sikh24 that Sarbat Khalsa Jathebandis will be established Akal Takht Sahib secretariat�in Amritsar. �Bhai Mand told Sikh24 that the secretariat office would allow Sarbat Khalsa Jathedars to provide guidance to the Khalsa Panth on various issues. �As per internal sources within the SGPC, Sikh24 has learned that SGPC executives were not happy at Bhai Mand�s move to establish a parallel office to Akal Takht Sahib�s secretariat. �SGPC is currently�also tasked at elevating security around Sri Darbar Sahib for June 4 shaheedi samagam.
Bhai Mand�was released last month on April 22. �He was arrested in November 2015 under sedition charges for participating in�Sarbat Khalsa and later on the complaint of Partap Singh, Sri Harmandir Sahib manager, for disturbing environment of the sanctum sanctorum on Bandi Chhor Diwas. Following his release in these cases�cases, his name was added�in the FIR registered against unknown miscreants for blockading Harike Bridge.
