Sarbat Khalsa Jathedars Honoured by Patna Sahib and Delhi Sangat

NEW DELHI—Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedars including Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala and Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal paid obeisance at Takht Sri Patna Sahib on May 7. The trio were honoured with Siropao (robe of honour) by the Management Committee member Charanjit Singh, Maharaja Singh, Sonu, R.S Gandhi (former President) and R.S. Jeet. The committee members also made promise to attend Sarbat Khalsa 2016 to be held on November 10 at Talwandi Sabo.

As per information shared by Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, management committee and various Sikh jathebandis based in Patna Sahib have announced to support Sarbat Khalsa 2016 taking place later this year.  He said that the Jathedars were welcomed with great fervour by the Patna Sahib Sangat.

Having having spent time with Sikh leaders at Patna Sahib, Takht Jathedars left for Delhi.  Upon arriving at the Airport there, hundreds of Sikhs, including large number of youth, welcomed them.  Sikh Sangat showered flower petals at the Jathedars as they arrived at the terminal.

Jathedars are currently on tour of various places outside Punjab, to gather support for Sarbat Khalsa 2016 to be held on November 10 at Talwandi Sabo.

Bhai Mohkam Singh (President, United Akali Dal), Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda (General Secretary, United Akali Dal), Bhai Jarnail Singh Sakhira (District President of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar), Bhai Jagmeet Singh Brar, Bhai Paramjit Singh Jijiani, Bhai Manpreet Singh Damdami Taksal and others were also accompanying the Jathedars on this occasion.
