:dateline:Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale has given a fitting counter response to Harnam Singh Dhumma, an individual who considers himself the head of the age-old respected Damdami Taksal, advising that he fears only Guru Granth Sahib Ji and no one else, let alone some Government-backed Baba.

Shortly after the Vaisakhi Samagam at Parmeshar Dwar last month, in which 1715 people had become Amritdhari, an audio recording of Dhumma was circulated in which he had made a number of unnecessary and unfounded derogatory comments against Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale.

Speaking within the thousands of people who had gathered from across Punjab at yesterday evenings monthly Parmeshar Dwar Samagam (Saturday 7 May 2016), also broadcast live, Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa uncovered the authenticity of Dhumma, bluntly labelling this individual as a Sarkari Sant.

“Some people despise and loathe at the large scale Gurmat Parchar currently being conducted and they cannot bear the Amrit Sanchar. Some of these people are the heads of institutions, the very people who were supposed to have been leading the work of Gurmat Parchar and Amrit Sanchar. Going astray from their Panthic responsibilities and not utilising their financial resources for this cause, they have instead been much too busy serving their masters. These people have bodyguards and protection cars both in front of and behind them,” Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale said.

In a statement taken from a diwan, Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale said –
Ironically, it is a well known fact that the world already knows who in reality is the Gidhaar, Dusht, Panth Dokhi etc. The Sarkari Sant Dhumma should realise he has childishly insulted the physical turban of Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa erroneously, yet he himself has tarnished the Dastaar once held by the great Saint Soldier Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, the Dastaar which was untarnished. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa reminded Baba Dhumma that he is carrying the weight of that Dastaar. The repute of that Dastaar should have been protected at all costs; it was the duty of Baba Dhumma to do Parchar and conduct Amrit Sanchar across the state to ensure Punjab did not get into its current unfortunate condition. But this Sarkari Sant has been too busy flattering his Government associates. The Sarkari Sants have amassed substantial property and land portfolios by working hand-in-hand with their masters. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa said the day his good repute is stained, he will come off the Parchar stage. He said the day even one property is shown to be registered in his name, he will come off the Parchar stage.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa told the Sangat to be aware of these people. At the same time he sent a message to the Government, through the intelligence agents that would undoubtedly be present listening to the Diwaan, that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jis Beadbi has not stopped, with another reported at Kakrala village not too long ago. He advised the Government that they should not test the patience of the Sikhs by backing absurd excuses of why Beadbi occurs.

Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa explained many of our people say large numbers of Sangat are in their support and something should be done, but the question is who will the Sangat confront if those agencies conducting the religious sacrilege remain unknown? Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa reiterated he has never sold-out to any Government to date and no matter what the circumstances, he will never sell-out in the future either. The challenge at the current time is to help our brothers across Punjab make the decision to adorn the Dastaar and join the Khalsa Panth. Yesterdays Amrit Sanchar resulted in 719 people becoming Amritdhari.

Please let’s respect each other and over come our differences by listening respecting and acknowledging our difference.
[…] May 7, during a monthly diwan at Gurdwara Permeshar Dwar, Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale had referred to Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma as a Government agent. He stated that Baba Dhumma was misusing Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale’s fame for […]
There are many ways in which one might make sense of this current feud amongst these two Sant’s in Panjab; which is not new, even amongst the various deras/seminaries, we see violent feuds taking place. One view might be to accept Dhadrianwale’s line and say that this is a battle between ‘sarkari’ (puppet of the ruling party) and non-sarkari (with the masses) Sant’s. Or that one is RSS in disguise and the other is a defender of the Khalsa Panth. Another angle could be simply that this is a feud between two Sant’s vying for power, influence and ultimately money.
Any of these things are possible, and ultimately it will be the masses (Sangat) that will decide. However, it seems patently obvious to me that both are guilty of exploiting the highly respectful title of Sant and Baba. I have no idea if either is or is not a Brahmgiani but on what I can decipher from the way they are talking about each other, at least one of them is just an ordinary person struggling to hold back his ego.
So I say, to the sangat, stop putting these ‘ordinary’ human beings on pedestals, and to the Baba’s and Sants, if you have any respect for SIkh traditions, you will realise that the true Sikh evades all attempts to be seen as higher that other people. If you are true followers of the Sikh Guru’s – who incidentally never referred to themselves as Guru, but simply ‘Nanak’ – then reject all the titles and, like Bhai Kanaiya, Bhai Mani Singh Ji, Bhai Gurdas Ji, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur …etc serve the masses not your ego!
Today’s so-called Sants all claim allegiance to Shaheed Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale. Well if you are his true followers, then, do so in word and deed. Reject the title of Sant as he did and get out of your dera’s and join with other civil society human rights activists and take on the oppressors, the criminal god men, the corrupt politicians, the drug barons and the maffia.
Religion today in Panjab and India has, as Marx suggested, been turned into the opium of the masses and such feuds between the hoards of ‘god’ men is the best evidence of this. SIkhi was and is a revolutionary project that sought to dislodge the corrupt rulers and god mento. The goal was simple, to uplift the masses and create freedom, Justice and equality for all. To fight the caste system, to destroy feudalistic beliefs and practices that deny so called dalits and women the status that the Gurus fought for.
So I say, Godman or not, focus on these priorities and you have my support; focus on your egotistic desires to accumulate wealth and power and I will oppose you.
Dhumma I think is sangh parivar
