Jathedar Daduwal seeks permanent release for Prof. Bhullar and Bhai Khera

:dateline:Jathedar of Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib (appointed by Sarbat Khalsa 2015) Bhai�Baljit Singh Daduwal, has warmly welcomed the parole�of political prisoners, Prof. Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar and Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera. Bhai�Daduwal has said that with release of these prisoners on parole, chances of their permanent release have increased.

He also�said that the tireless efforts of Sikh activists, the hunger strike of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, and the prayers�of Sikh masses have made their release possible. He added that the Badal government had always ignored the issue of the release of political prisoners, but the firm stance of Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa had forced�the government to act.

Baba Daduwal clarified that Bapu Ji won�t give up his hunger strike�until the rest of the�political prisoners who have already served the mandatory terms of their sentences are permanently released. �In addition to Prof. Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar, Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera, these include Bhai Gurmeet Singh, Bhai Shamsher Singh, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, and Bhai Lal Singh Akalgarh.

Bhai Daduwal appreciated Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s year long struggle while he welcomed temporary relief to some prisoners. �Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has been struggling for the release of political prisoners since January 16, 2015. �Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar and Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera�s release is being seen as a fruit to Bapu Ji�s struggle. �So far, pressure mounted by 1 year long hunger protest has led to �
