:dateline:Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has welcomed the release of Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar and Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera. �While Bhai Khera was released yesterday on April 22, Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar was discharged today on parole. �Bapu�Surat Singh did ardas for the chardi kala of Sikh political prisoners and said he was happy to see these Singhs reunited with their families after two decades.
“This would not have been possible without the efforts of the Sikh Sangat and Panthik jathebandis who remained steadfast for Sikh political prisoners. �Even to this date, Sikh Sangat living worldwide has remain committed to seek release of political prisoners,” Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa told Sikh24. �When asked about his own year long struggle, Bapu Surat Singh said that he knew from day one that this would be a difficult path, however, he said his struggle doesn’t compare to the hardships faced by political prisoners who have spent much of their lives behind bars.
