Jathedar Baljit Singh Daduwal meets Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa at DMC

:dateline:Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal, appointed Jathedar of Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib by Sarbat Khalsa 2015,�visited Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, following Bapu Ji’s�readmission there. Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has been on a continuous hunger strike since January 16, 2015. He has been�force fed numerous times during this period by the Punjab government against his wishes. �

Jathedar Daduwal said that the union and state governments had�been violating the�law. He also added that Sikhs are being continually�targeted by the government. He also�said that the Punjab government was not serious about releasing Sikh�political prisoners. He added that the inhuman conditions�imposed on them across Indian jails should�be taken up by the�United Nations.�

“Punjab State and the Union Government are not serious towards demands by the Sikhs. �Sikhs are being treated like slaves in Punjab. �Badal Government has oppressed the Sikh community in Punjab. �This is why it has not done anything for Sikh political prisoners,” said Bhai Daduwal. �”I appeal the Government to take urgent action and release Prof. Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar and take up efforts for Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara’s release with the Modi Government.”

Jathedar Daduwal had been�detained in the Hoshiarpur jail following�the Sarbat Khalsa 2015.
