:dateline:In a message shared with Sikh24, Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala asked the Sikhs to rise above controversies and work to free Sikh institutions from the control of corrupt political leaders. Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala said that anti-Sikh agencies were working to split the Sikh diaspora. He warned the Sikh Sangat to remain careful and not lose sight of Panthik goals. A translation of Bhai Wadala’s message is being shared below –
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
Vaisakhi greetings to the entire Panth.
Khalsa Ji, if we become apathetic, our enemy will use various tactics to cause rifts withinour community. Our enemy knows that the diaspora plays an important role in upholding Sikh rights. They know this from the history of the Komagatu Maru. Just like our forefathers fought for freedom from the West, they know that the diaspora is still standing steadfast for Sikh rights.
Seeing that the Panth is already going through harsh times, our enemy has now sent its people to stir up controversies.
Khalsa Ji, this is not the time to resolve these controversies. Our enemy wants us to keep fighting internally, however this is the time to remain careful because our condition is veryfragile. Lets free our five Takhts, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandhak Committee and revive the Sarbat Khalsa tradition. This is the need of the hour.
We need to resolve all our internal issues as per Guru Sahibs hukam “??? ????? ????? ???? ??? ?????? ???? ???? ??? ??? ?” Lets resolve and promise on this Khalsa Sajna Divas that we dont need worldly status or positions, we just need to work as sevadars of the Panth. Lets resolve to not let our internal egos separate us. Lets promise to put aside our differences and work solely for the Panth.
If we do this, only then we can proclaim that we are fully committed to the Khalsa Panth. Only then will the Panth be able to rejoice.
Lately, controversial issues, such as those regardingSri Dasam Granth and Raag Mala, arebeingdiscussed and disagreed upon on social media. However, last year at village Chabba, one of the resolutions passed at Sarbat Khalsa was to refrain from discussing such controversial issues. However, despite the resolution passed by Sarbat Khalsa, and earlier appeals fromAkal Takht Sahib, these issues have once again come to forefront forthe Sikh community living in the West.
Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala is currently on tour inthe United States. He is doing kirtan at Gurdwara Sahib Stockton and holding special divans for Vaisakhi.
