He�had contested the Lok Sabha�elections of 2014 from Bathinda constituency in which he had secured 87,901 votes standing third in a triangular competition with Harsimrat Badal and Manpreet Badal. �He was assumed as the game spoiler for Manpreet Badal who had lost the seat by 19,395 votes.
While an official dismissal letter has not been sent to Jassi Jasraj, AAP�s Punjab state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur stated that Jassi Jasraj was warned many times. �”We had asked him to work to promote the party and not make allegations publicly without discussing internally first,” said Chhotepur.
Chhotepur�alleged that Jassi Jasraj had started organizing parallel programs to official party programs. �He further added that the AAP volunteers as well as the senior leadership were not being taken into confidence for organizing programs. �”We have been receiving complaints against Jassi Jasraj from a long time. �We didn’t find a solution and had to take this step to maintain discipline within the party,”�he added.
Sucha Singh Chhotepur also alleged that Jassi Jasraj was regularly making defamatory statements against other�party�leaders that were�damaging�the Aam Aadmi Party�s image across Punjab.
